I quite like this image, the pattern is sufficient through out the photo, the only criticism I have is that I think the man and the bucket is completely unnecessary, I just believe the image would look better without them.

This is an example of a man made structure that hasn't been manipulate by the photographer in anyway except the angle is was taken at, this structure has deliberately give these arches and shape to give it this specific pattern.

This is a natural pattern caused in a flower, even though it is a pattern it still feels random as  everything is ever so slightly out of place. 

 

These chairs repeated over and over again is the photographer trying to create a pattern, this is a very manipulated image as the photographer would have to have put them in this order on purpose to be able to take this photo. 

My Definition: Pattern is a repeated object or idea for a specific reason whether it's in nature, man made or manipulated by someone.

In this session, we went out and photographed patterns. This wasn't actually too difficult as patterns were everywhere, as long as the object was repeated it could look like a pattern. Although there were difficult parts as patterns are structured and ordered and a lot of nature is completely random.

This is my favourite photo from the session, I believe that it has a few patterns in it such as the hole cover and the brick work of the floor. On alteration I would remove the white fluff in the cracks of the bricks, I'll most likely clone it out later. This photo has many different ways of portraying pattern and for that reason I believe it to be a very good photo, everything just runs across the picture (left to right and vice versa) very smoothly.

This was a good photo of the session as it strongly shows patterns, the blinds are very in your face and there is nothing else to look at so you assume it's about the pattern of the blinds, the shadows on the blinds and the reflection do ruin the image, for future reference I will pay more attention on fixing the lighting in my photos. I will later on rotate and crop just so the blinds are completely horizontal.


If i could continue with this topic I would have wanted some more natural patterns, a lot of the photos I took were very man made patterns and I think getting more of a variety would give the whole session a better feel about it.

In this photo the pattern is between the oculars the green and purple looks incredible contrasting off of each other. There is a pattern on the leaves but also within the leaves themselves, for example the smallest leaves are opposite each other and then the larger ones do a similar thing but at a different angle and agin with the largest leaves. 

This image shows pattern through the cracks within the rock, the ridges also add to the pattern, the ridges and cracks of light/magma work together in order to create a strange pattern. 

The pattern here starts from the left and right edge of the image and works way into the middle each time gaining a bigger surface area until it reaches the middle where both sides have come together, the way it uses pattern is really cool and the image feels almost 3-D. 

In this image coins have been hammered into what looks like a slab of wood, most of the coins are all pointing in the same direction but some are going sideways, the pattern here is actually a bit random as not every coin is pointing tin the same direction so if anything there are a few patterns within this image, for example the coins point ing in the same direction, then the coins point in another direction, bent coins and straight coins. 

This picture, shows a very weird pattern, the illustrations look very tribal like and stretch out across the entire surface area of the image, it looks like loads of different squares, rectangles etc. 

This image clearly displays pattern through the wall, the bricks are all loose and create a wavy kind of pattern, each row is different meaning each row is its own patter, some have big bricks others smaller ones and there is also a change in colour from time to time.
